Results Buena Park Saturday

Lots of GREAT racing with some new faces showing up, 9 year old Tristan was at his first race with his mother Wendy looking on to make sure he didn't whip up on us toooo much, he made it to the 1/4 finals in brackets and will be a force to be recond with in the future.

Big Dog DOMINATED the combined index class taking 1st and 2nd with Art Shaw taking 3rd.

In Brackets it was Bracket Bob taking the win over Travis with Paul W taking 3rd.

Another great day of racing at Buena Park, We had a nice turn out and ran 4 classes.

First class to run was the .790 Funny Car class with Paul W taking it over Jon Tier with a dying car.

Second class to run was Quick 16 with Papa Dave taking it making one of his rare appearances along with Jim Chapman, With Paul W taking 2nd.

Third class to run was Super Gas 1.200 index with Paul W winning it over Jim Chapman.

Then came brackets with jim C having 2 cars in the semis, with Jim taking out Big Dog with one of them and losing to Paul W with the other, setting up the final with Jim C and Paul W.
Lining up, It was a tight race with Jim C taking it with a .006 package over Paul W with a .030 package.

Great day in sunny California with lots of really close races.
The day started off with the Super street 1.400 index class with the final coming down to Paul W and Brian N squaring off, both running close to the #s with Paul running a 1.403 and Brian breaking out with a 1.399.
Next up was Super Gas 1.200 with the same 2 squaring off in the final with the results being opposite with Brian winning it with a 1.207 to Pauls 1.198 break out.
Then came brackets with Bracket Bob showing us all how he got the name with 2 of the last 3 cars being his. The final was Bob against Paul in his 3rd final of the day. It was all over at the light with Pauls .498 red light, Bob running 1.223 on a 1.210 dial and Paul a 1.209 on an 1.198 dial. Like i said lots of really close and exciting racing.

Another great race day at Buena Park in sunny so. cal.
First class to run was Quick 16 with Paul W winning it over Travis.
Next up was Super Street 1.400 index with Albert taking it over Paul W.
The largest index class was Super Gas 1.200 index with Bryan taking it over Travis.
Then came Brackets with Art winning after Doug (a newcomer with only 1 car) broke out by .002 and Travis taking the 3rd spot.

Lots of Great racing with some newcomers showing up and getting the job done.

Another great race day at Buena Park Raceway. They are getting ready to host the WORLDS in a couple weeks, should be a big road race turnout, to bad we can't do something similar for drag racing.

Race Results:
First race of the day was Super Comp 1.000 index won by Paul W.
Second race was the 1.090 index class also won by Paul W. with Bryan taking second.
Third race was the Super Gas 1.200 index class won by Bryan with paul taking second.
Brackets the big race of the day was won by Travis with Bracket Bob taking second

Beautiful California weather = a smaller than normal turnout for our Saturday Drag Race.
But a good time was had by all and we had extra time for testing and tuning, starting a little late and only running Brackets.
The race started ot with Big Dog taking out Pauls deadly Nomad, then Paul and Big Dog worked there way through the field oblivious of Bracket Bob doing the same. When it came to the final 4 Paul had 2 cars Big Dog and Bracket Bob both had one. Paul took out Big Dog and Bracket Bob took out Pauls second car setting up a real close race for the finals with Paul taking it with a 1.431 on a 1.410 dial .508 light (.27 package) over Bobs 1.164 on a 1.140 dial .511 light (.35 package).
